| Denhay
bacon – completely traceable and, by the
way, Heston loves it!
8th December 2008
Following
the recent pork concerns, Denhay Farms has confirmed
that all its pork is sourced from England and Scotland
and furthermore, each pack of Denhay bacon is traceable
back to the individual farm where it was reared.
“The
latest food scare about pork products has of course
raised concerns amongst consumers and at Denhay
we are aware that many people will feel confused
over the source of bacon and sausages, especially
at this time of year when they are high on the
list of Christmas purchases. All Denhay’s
pork is reared in England or Scotland and traceability
has always been a major part of our family business.” explained
George Streatfeild, MD of Denhay Farms.
Denhay
Bacon is recognised as premium quality bacon by many
of the leading chefs and food journalists, and Denhay
has recently added another well known chef to its
list of fans. Heston Blumenthal, the triple Michelin
starred chef, chose Denhay’s brand new Wiltshire
Cure bacon for his Little Chef menu (Popham Services
on the A303 near Winchester).
Denhay
Bacon is available throughout the West Country from
selected Tesco, Waitrose, Co-op, Budgens, good independent
retailers, farm shops and delis. For details of our
